Climbing rope is engineered to be exceptionally strong and hard-wearing, which makes it one of the best materials we could choose for a lead that gets pulled, chewed and rained on every single day. Most climbing ropes are simply thrown away once they are retired, so instead of letting them go to waste, we give them a second life. We’re not using it because it’s trendy. We’re using it because a lead made this way is high quality and genuinely outlasts almost anything else on the market.
Everything happens in one London workshop, where every lead is handmade. Even the rope is local: it comes from a trusted partner within a 5-mile radius, so there are no long journeys, just a short one from their hands to ours, and then to yours

Every metre is cleaned and checked by hand. Anything that doesn’t meet our standard for strength or finish doesn’t make it into a lead.
