Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Who we are

Our website address is https://mollielondon.com. We specialise in handmade dog leads made from recycled climbing rope and are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data transparently and responsibly.

If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy or the way we process your personal data, please contact us at our contact form.

Information we collect

When you visit our website, create an account, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, or interact with our services, we may collect the following information:

We may also automatically collect technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, website usage data, and cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

Newsletter and marketing

If you choose to join our list, we may use your email address to send updates, new colourways, and restock alerts. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us directly. We do not send marketing emails to customers solely because they have made a purchase, unless they have separately subscribed.

Reviews

If you leave a review, we publish the name you give (or a first name) and your review text on our website. Reviews are checked by us before they appear. After your order has been delivered we may send you one email inviting you to leave a review; this is a service message about your order, not marketing, and you can ignore it.

Back-in-stock alerts

If you ask to be told when an item is available again, we use your email address only to send you that notification.

Payments

Payments on our website are securely processed through Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full payment card details. Payment information is processed directly by Stripe in accordance with their own privacy and security policies.

Shipping and delivery

To fulfil and deliver your orders, we may share relevant information such as your name, delivery address, and contact details with Royal Mail and other service providers involved in delivering your purchase.

Who else handles your data

We use trusted service providers to run the shop, only for the purposes described here: Stripe (payments), Royal Mail and other carriers (delivery), Supabase (our database and image storage), Hostinger (website hosting), an email service provider (order and newsletter emails) and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics and, if we advertise on Facebook or Instagram, the Meta Pixel (see below). Some of these may process data outside the UK; where they do, it is under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your personal data.

Website analytics and advertising

If you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics (provided by Google) to understand how the site is used: which pages are viewed, which products are looked at or added to the bag, and which orders are completed (the order number, the items and the amount, never your name, email or address). Google processes this on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. If we run advertising on Facebook or Instagram, we may also use the Meta Pixel (provided by Meta) to measure the results of those adverts, such as the pages viewed after clicking an advert. Meta acts as an independent controller of the data it receives and may transfer it outside the UK. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics or to Meta unless you accept analytics and advertising cookies, and you can change your mind at any time (see our Cookie Policy).

Customer accounts

If you create an account on our website, we store the information necessary to manage your account and provide access to your order history. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep products in your bag, remember your preferences, support website functionality, and (where you consent) analyse website usage. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly without them. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil orders, maintain business records, comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. Order records may be retained for several years where required by law.

Why we are allowed to use your data

We use your data to carry out your order (contract), to meet legal and accounting obligations, to send marketing only with your consent, and for our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the shop.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, request a copy of your data, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
